Hey, Hudson County – What’s in the papers this weekend that affects your life?

HUDSON COUNTY — Hey, Hudson County, New Jersey! Yeah, you! There are many stories in the Hudson Reporter chain of weekly newspapers this weekend that you haven’t read anywhere else. Even for stories you’ve read about, there are things you may not know. Here are just some of the stories you can read in print this weekend:
-In Hoboken, there is likely to be a minor shakeup at a Housing Authority meeting this week. (The Housing Authority oversees the low-income public housing in town.) Also, a local politician is throwing a free party for everyone in town. What’s behind it? For that and more, read the Hoboken Reporter this weekend.
-In Secaucus, Hartz wants approvals for a new 500-unit residential development, and they made an agreement with the town and school board to pay some money for the likely impact. Read the Secaucus Reporter this weekend.
-One of Jersey City’s redlight cameras has been suspended. What about the others – are they making town more safe, or less safe? Why are residents up in arms? Also: Will ex-Superintendent Epps be on the mayor’s council ticket in 2013? Will school issues prove damaging to Councilman Fulop’s mayoral bid? read the Jersey City Reporter.
-Other issues are breaking in North Bergen, Union City, Weehawken, and more.
-Check out Al Sullivan’s political column and Jim Hague on local sports.
