Flying furniture at the W
An investigation is ongoing after a $1,500 chair was allegedly thrown off the balcony of the night club at the W Hotel at 225 River St. last Friday, June 22 at 1:39 a.m., a police report indicated.
According to the report, a man allegedly threw the chair 75 feet, where it crashed onto a table below valued at $2,000. No one was injured in the incident.
Police said the incident was caught on camera.
Sister and brother arrested
An incident at a bar at First and Washington streets on Sunday, June 24 at roughly 1:20 a.m. led to the arrest of a Ridgefield Park man after a claim that he allegedly threatened one of the bouncers.
According to a police report, Jesse Sanchez, 23, Ridgefield Park, allegedly told a bouncer he would get his gun and shoot him after he had been removed from the location.
Police reports said that Sanchez also allegedly pulled on one of the bar’s doors until its hinges broke, causing $650 in damage. He also allegedly damaged two ceramic flowerpots valued at $150 each.
Sanchez was charged with uttering a terroristic threat and criminal mischief. Sanchez’ sister was charged with simple assault in the incident after allegedly jumping on the security guard’s back, police reports said.
A nauseating affair
Two men were arrested during the early morning hours of Saturday, June 23 after one of the men was found apparently vomiting on a marked police car at the Hoboken Police Station, police reports said.
Police said they found Patrick Allocco, 23, Jersey City, allegedly vomiting on the hood of the car while another man, Peter Cipollini, 23, Morristown, stood next to him laughing, reports said.
Police ordered the men to stop, which led to an on-foot pursuit, reports said. Cipollini was placed in investigative detention and then placed under arrest for obstructing.
Allocco was found hiding in an alley nearby and only revealed himself after several orders to do so, reports said. Both men also allegedly became irate and yelled once inside police headquarters. Reports said that Allocco also attempted to allegedly resist and shove police.
After further review, police noted that “large amounts of vomit” were found on the hood of two cars on opposite ends of parking spaces, reports indicated.
According to police reports, Alloco was charged with obstructing the administration of law, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Cipollini was charged with obstructing the administration of law and disorderly conduct.
Restaurant burglarized three times?
A burglary was reported at a restaurant at Fifth and Washington streets on Monday, June 18. The alleged incident had occurred overnight by way of a forced entry to the location, which caused damage to the door, according to police reports.
A cell phone and $150 were allegedly taken from the location. The cash register was also permanently damaged in the process. The owner said he had been burglarized three times in past year, reports said.
Beware the bike bandits
Bicycle thefts were reported last weekend at Fourth and Newark Streets, Fifth and Monroe Streets, and First and Monroe Streets.
All three of the incidents occurred at bike racks or within locked garages.
