Mayor Gonnelli and the Senior Advisory Board would like to take this opportunity to thank the following businesses and organizations who served as drop off locations for the First Annual Stop Senior Hunger Month Campaign benefiting the Emergency Food Bank of Secaucus: Allstate Secaucus; BoneFish Grill; Clarendon Elementary School; Comfort Keepers; Harmon Cove Townhouses; Harmon Meadow Jewelry Exchange; Home Depot; Houlihans; Huber Street Elementary School, Kipnis Physical Therapy; Marra Drug Store; NYK Line; Secaucus Martial Arts Center; Secaucus Middle School; Secaucus High School; Secaucus Public Library; and Secaucus Recreation Center.
We would also like to thank the people of Secaucus who participated by donating nonperishable food and other requested items. With limited budgets, senior hunger is a real concern. Some seniors may need to make the decision between purchasing medication and food.
With everyone’s cooperation and support for this project we were able to collect 900 pounds of groceries for the Secaucus Emergency Pantry that will benefit any resident in need regardless of their age.
