A funeral mass was offered at St. Ann’s RC Church on May 19 for former Union City resident Evelyn Abramek, 81. She passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Abramek; cherished mother of Kathryn Gentile, Carolyn Stanke, Susan Ambramek, and Stephanie Strickland; endeared mother-in-law of Joseph Strickland, and the late Thomas Gentile and Arnold Stanke; dear sister of Marleen Alday; grandmother of Anthony, Sarah, Jessica, Kevin, Margaret, Kenneth, and Ashley; great-grandmother of Malakai and Gracelynn. Services were arranged by the Failla Memorial Home. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Long Island.
