Thousands of residents and visitors gathered in beautiful weather in Hoboken ont Sunday to partake of the annual Arts & Music Festival, an event featuring over 300 artists, sculptors, and musicians lining Washington Street between Observer Highway and 7th Street.
Sponsors of the event, according to Director of Cultural Affairs Geri Fallo, were The Hudson Reporter, United Water, PATH & Port Authority of NY & NJ, WKTU, Walgreens, and Yelp.
The event, which ran from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., featured three stages of live music from acts such as The One & Nines, The Front Bottoms, Demolition String Band, and of course, The dB’s, fresh off a 25-year recording hiatus.
Parents basked in the warm, sunny weather as their children enjoyed amusement rides, balloon animals, musical acts, and more.

Residents and visitors weigh in
Many residents were particularly impressed with the diverse food offering, which included a variety of international foods from Greek, French, Mexican, Cajun, Thai, and more.
“Food, sun, music – what more can you want?” asked Chris Nigro, a Hoboken resident, who claimed to have sampled a bit of everything.
“I ate so much great food,” continued Nigro. “I’m not going to eat again for another six weeks.”
Resident Drew McNaughton and frequent festival-attendee echoed Nigro’s sentiments.
“This year I had the opportunity to taste some of the fare from the more unique food vendors- such as crab cakes and alligator sausage,” said McNaughton. “Similar to last year, many talented artists and photographers had their great work on display and for sale.”
Sara Jane Kovalesky traveled from Long Island for the second year in a row to partake in the festival.
“The Hoboken Arts & Music Festival was very impressive,” said Kovalesky. “I love to eat, so the festival was right up my alley. It was a great way to enjoy the weather and see all the great things Hoboken has to offer.”
