“A letter to Honorable Mayor Healy & Director Public Works Dept. City of Jersey City, NJ.”

Dear Editor:
We need a bus stand at Exchange Place on Christopher Columbus Drive between Greene and Hudson Street in Jersey City.
Please read below response received from NJ Transit which is self explanatory for your immediate action.
This site served NJ Transit buses No. 64, 68, 82 and 86.
We need your help Mr. Mayor.

Thank you,
Taj Ahmad

We are replying to your feedback of 4/25/2012 regarding subject: Bus Stand.
Thank you for contacting NJ TRANSIT to obtain information on establishing more bus stops/installing a bus shelter at Christopher Columbus Drive in Jersey City.
While the NJ TRANSIT Bus Shelter Program arranges for and bears the costs associated with installing bus stop signs and shelters, a local sponsor, (typically the municipality) must first initiate the request and approve the bus stop/shelter location. The municipality also bears the responsibility for maintaining the shelter. Therefore, I encourage you to contact your local municipal officials with your request.

Thank you for contacting NJ TRANSIT.
Sincerely,
Carmine Melillo
