A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on April 21 at Queen of Peace R.C. Church for Irene Guzek, 84. She passed away on Tuesday, April 17. A lifelong resident of Jersey City, she was the beloved wife of the late Thadeus “Goose” Guzek; devoted mother of Tina Nida, Andra Hoffmann (Donald), and Teddy Guzek; dear sister of Chet Parkes (Kay) and Bob Parkes (Ellie); devoted grandmother of Chris, Rob, Peter, Andrew and Grant; great-grandmother of Connor, Ava, Trevor and Gavin; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. Funeral arrangements were by the McLaughlin Funeral Home, Jersey City. Entombment, Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
