A funeral mass took place Jan. 28 at St. Francis Church in Hoboken for Michael Ocello, 96. He passed away peacefully on Jan. 25, surrounded by his and family. He was the husband of the late Josephine; surviving are his four children, Carmella Bonino and her husband Joseph, Lucy Cappadona and her husband John, Carmen Ocello and his wife Linda and Nicholas Ocello and his wife Veronica. He will be missed by his seven grandchildren, Joanne, Donna Lynn, Michael, Kevin, Lisa, Richard and Jennifer; his 10 great grandchildren, Cheryl, Joseph, Jillian, Adrianna, Lauren, Michael, Kaylee, Anthony, Kyle and Tyler; also along with two sisters Josephine Spinelli and her husband Carmine, Mary Mazzola and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Ocello was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a former member of the Hoboken Planning Board and Zoning Board. He was a past president of Santa Febronia Catholic Society, a member of the Ridgefield Park Elks and a parishioner of St. Francis Church in Hoboken.
