The funeral liturgy was performed Jan. 28 at St. Francis R.C. Church, Hoboken, for Salvatore M. Grasso, Sr., 77. He passed away Jan. 24. He was born in Hoboken to the late Antonio and Caterina Grasso. Before retiring, he was a fire insurance engineer. Salvatore was a U.S. Army veteran. He was the husband of the late Joan Grasso; father of Margaret Talbot of North Arlington, Patricia Szymanski of Bayonne and Salvatore M. Grasso, Jr. and his wife Nicolina of Hasbrouck Heights; brother of Santo Grasso and his wife Mary of AvonbytheSea and the late Andrew Grasso and his late wife Madeline; grandfather of Jorge Jr. and Jason Szymanski and Salvatore and Nicholas Grasso; and also survived by his friends John Hayes and Janina Doroszczyk. Services arranged by the Costa Memorial Home, Hasbrouck Heights.
