Funeral mass was performed Jan. 28 at St. Anne RC Church, Jersey City, for Robert L. Fickert. He died peacefully on Jan. 23 at the Milford Manor in West Milford. Robert was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident. He was a WWII Army veteran. Robert was a factory worker for American Can Company, Jersey City, and later a postal worker for the US Bulk Service Center in Secaucus. Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Jersey City Lodge. He was the husband of the late Susan Fickert; father of Barbara Evans and her husband David, Susan Reardon and her husband David, and Dorothy LeFebvre and her husband David; grandfather of five, great grandfather of six, and great great grandfather of two; and also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
