Hoboken gets props for rejecting Snooki and ‘Jersey Shore’ sequel

HOBOKEN AND BEYOND — A story that was reported first here at the Hudson Reporter website (hudsonreporter.com) has made worldwide news: Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer has rejected a permit application from MTV to film public scenes in Hoboken for an upcoming sequel to the hit reality show “Jersey Shore.”
News outlets from Reuters to TMZ covered the smushing of the controversial upcoming reality show.
The mayor’s letter to the City Council about the decision can be found here.
On the TMZ website, a reader wrote, “You mean there are politicians out there that have moral values, and other concerns other than money and power. Impressive!!”
Someone else said, ” ‘quality of life’? Can it get any worse if you already live in New Jersey? I guess if anyone could do it it’d be Snooki.”
Now comes the next question: Will Jersey City let the crew film there, as has been rumored?
