A funeral mass was performed Jan. 24 at St. Augustine’s Church for Catherine A. “Kay” Connolly, 96. She died on Jan. 17 at the Little Nursing Home in Montclair. Born in Union City, daughter of the late John and Mary (Walsh) Connolly she was predeceased in death by her four brothers, John, Thomas, Martin and Edward Connolly; her sister Mary Walsh; and her nephew Edward Walsh. Kay was an active parishioner and member of the Rosary Society of St. Augustine’s Church in Union City where she resided most of her life. She was one of the first women to work for the US Trust Company in New York where she was employed for over 35 years. She is survived by her nieces, Eileen (Barry) Adams and Peggy Walsh; nephews, Jack (Barbara), Bob (Carol) and Roger (Kathy) Connolly; 18 grandnieces and nephews; and 28 great grand nieces and nephews.
