To the Editor:
I recently read a letter published by James Fico lamenting the lack of nice shops in Bayonne and wanted to tell him that all is not lost. A really lovely new art gallery just opened on Broadway near Ninth Street. It is named Ferdez and it is a real gem. It features original artwork by both local and international artists.
It also offers custom framing and art classes. The classes will be taught by various artists and will include different styles and/or subjects for both adults and children. A very interesting-sounding class is now forming, titled “Paint Your Emotion.” An owner, Fernando Fernandez, explained that he wants the gallery to become a “hub” for local artists, where they can share their love of art and showcase their work.
Since many of us agree with Mr. Fico on the lack of new and interesting shops in Bayonne, I invite him and all of Bayonne to stop by and welcome Ferdez.
