Rothman announces campaign team

NORTH JERSEY — Congressman Steve Rothman (D-Fair Lawn), who is running for re-election in the 9th Congressional district against Congressman Bill Pascrell (D-Paterson), announced his campaign team for the Democratic Primary in the 9th Congressional District, which includes Secaucus.

The primary battle is the result of redistricting, as the U.S. Census forced portions of Congressional Districts 5, 8, and 9 to combine into two districts. Secaucus and Kearny are the only Hudson County municipalities in the new 9th Congressional District.

According to a press release, the campaign team includes Paul Swibinski of Vision Media who will serve as the campaign’s general/media consultant. Swibinski is described as the architect of Rothman’s first congressional campaign in 1996. He has worked for several officials in Hudson County.

Another Hudson County political operative, Tom Bertoli, will serve as the campaign’s field Director and vote by mail coordinator.

Jeff Plaut of Global Strategies Group will serve as polling consultant.

Other team members include individuals with political experience in Bergen County such as Chris Eilert who will serve as the campaign manager and senior strategist. Adam Silverstein will serve as the campaign’s communications director and senior strategist. Matt Rose will serve as the campaign coordinator. Stephanie Wohlrab will serve as the finance committee chair. Lindsay Angerholzer, president of the Angerholzer Team, will support fundraising and Scott Snyder will serve as a field and GOTV consultant.
