JOSEPH KENNY, BILL.

Funeral mass was performed Jan. 17 at Our Lady of Mercy Church for Joseph Kenny, 63, known to all as Bill. He died Jan. 10 at Jersey City Medical Center. A lifelong Jersey City resident, the son of the late Adeline (Turnbull) and Francis Kenny, he worked as a manager for Nationwide Bowling, formerly Hudson Lanes and Roosevelt Lanes in Jersey City for 44 years.
On July 13, 2008, he was inducted into the U.S.B.C. Hall of Fame. He was an avid bowler with various local leagues. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam. He was the husband of Caroline Whittaker Kenny; father of Caroline Kenny and her children, Nicholas, Nina, Emily and Nicole; Lorraine Kenny and her children, Anna, Jasmin, Jaynaia and Janelle; Diane Kenny and her children Keith, Breanne, Natalie and Emma; Kathryn Kenny and her daughter Kaity; and Susan Kenny and her children William, Britney, Ryan and Alyssa; one great grandchild, Kylie; brother of Cassimere Deeble and her husband Warren; Edwardine Martiak and her late husband Steve; Lawrence Kenny and his wife Maryann; Deborah Newman and her husband Dennis and the late Robert Kenny; and uncle to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Services arranged by the Greenville Memorial Home, Jersey City.
