JC woman named home health aide of the year

Jersey City resident Louise Wade has been named Home Health Aide of the Year by the Visiting Homemaker Service of Hudson County (VHS). The award was presented to Wade recently at the Annual Chocolate and Champagne Ceremony held at McIntyre Hall at Saint Peter’s College. Wade, who has been working as a home health aide at VHS for 19 years, was given the award as recognition for her outstanding client service.
At the ceremony, which was attended by more than 150 people, the non-profit service agency also honored a Home Health Aide from each of the cities serviced by VHS – Jersey City, Weehawken, Secaucus, Union City, Guttenberg, Hoboken, Kearny, West New York, and Bayonne.
“VHS has been serving residents of Hudson County for more than 50 years. It maintains a staff of more than 300 Certified Home Health Aides, Home Care Aides, Registered Nurses and Social Workers, and provides a full spectrum of home care services.
