Hoboken’s Symposia Bookstore, located at 510 Washington Street, is now the only bookstore in the entire Hudson County! This year, we celebrated 10 years of community building in Hoboken with an Anniversary Party in our store.
We want to thank all of you for making our event such a success! And special thanks to Carlos Haase and his friends, who delighted us with their heart-felt songs!
Symposia is deeply grateful to Anna and David Roberts for providing a home for Symposia on Washington Street.
We are also very thankful to you, our neighbors, for your support and participation in our events during these past ten years! We would not be here without the contribution of each and every one of you!
Brick-and-mortar bookstores around the nation are facing some tough times right now, and we don’t know what the future has in store for us. What we do know is that we want to keep our mission alive: we want to be a community space where people from all walks of life can come together, unafraid to be themselves, to speak their mind and to make friends within their community.
Donations are the lifeline of our business. If you’ve got used books, CDs, DVDs that you don’t want anymore, drop them off at our store and we’ll give you a tax-deductible receipt!
