CAMPERLINO, ALBERT R.

Funeral mass was performed Jan. 18 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, for Albert R. Camperlino, 86. He died Jan. 13 at his home in North Arlington. Born in Wilmerding, Pa., he lived in Jersey City before moving to North Arlington in 1976. He was a fireman with the Jersey City Fire Department for 29 years before retiring in 1988. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4697, a member of the American Legion Post 37, a past grand knight with the Queen of Peace Knights of Columbus Council 3428, a member of the Interfaith Senior Citizens, an usher at Queen of Peace Church, and a member of the El Sheedy Caravan of the Alhambra all of North Arlington. He was a member of the Elks Club of Lyndhurst and the St. Joseph’s Guild at Holy Family Academy in Bayonne.
He was the husband of the late Edna M.; the father of Albert and William Camperlino, Karen Ziobro, Barbara Venezia, Patricia Shields and the late Richard Camperlino; the grandfather of Amy, Jessica, Denise, Robert, Felicia, Richard, Victor M., Kyle and Megan; the great grandfather of Mackenzie and the uncle of many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Parow Funeral Home, North Arlington.
