Dear Editor:
For the past nine months, residents in my district have been complaining about a sink hole at the corner of Nelson Avenue and Bleeker Street. It’s located right in the center of a crosswalk. Hundreds of school children and their parents walk around this every day. I am shocked that nobody has been seriously injured yet, not that I know of any way. Phone calls have been made to everybody and their mother though still nothing gets done?
I would like to bring this matter to the attention to Pete Soriero, Director of Risk Management for the City of Jersey City. This is a dangerous hole that absolutely poses a risk and threat to the City but more importantly to the people that pay every city employee’s salary.
