Hufnagel Landscape Design & Construction Group was named the 2011 Contractor of the Year by the New Jersey Landscape Contractors Association (NJLCA) at their Achievement Award dinner at The Manor in West Orange, NJ on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011.
The Hufnagel Company which designs and installs gardens in Hoboken, Jersey City and around Hudson County ,was chosen based on its innovative and high quality residential and commercial projects and its support of community projects and organizations such as the Hoboken Historical Museum’s Secret Garden Tour, Stevens Cooperative School, and the Fairview “9-11 project.”
The Hufnagel company (www.HufnagelLandscaping.com) was the first company in Hudson County to install and maintain green roofs. Articles and photos of gardens created by the Hufnagel team have appeared in national and state publications such as Better Homes and Gardens, New Jersey Monthly and Palisade Magazine.
Ms. Hufnagel and the Hufnagel Team have provided time and expertise to local schools and municipalities and several community organizations including the Hoboken’s All Saints’ Jubilee Center, Arbor Day projects, the Hoboken YMCA, the Liberty Humane Society and the Hudson County Public Art Commission.
The North Bergen-based Hufnagel Landscape Design & Construction Group, a family-owned company, was founded in the early 1890’s by great grandfather Bernard Hufnagel, to serve the Hudson County area.
