Funeral mass took place Jan. 7 at St. Mary of the Lake, Lakewood, for Barbara Halblaub Davis, 70 of Toms River. She passed on Jan. 1 at Robert Wood Johnson. Born in Jersey City, where she lived until moving to Toms River 2004, she was a crossing guard for Jersey City Police Department for 25 years until she retired in 2004. She was predeceased by her first husband John Halblaub, who passed in 1978, and her son John Halblaub, 2011. She is survived by her daughter Karen; her husband Frank Ranelli of Old Bridge; her granddaughter Jenna Angela Ranelli; her sisters Francine and her husband Eugene Byrne, Jacqueline and her husband John Bauer. She was aunt to Barbara Buonvicino, Patrick Feeney, Christopher Byrne, Jaclyn Feeney, Lauren Hotchkin and Daniel Talty. Services arranged by the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, Toms River.
