Jersey City native Patrice O’Neal passes away after stroke

JERSEY CITY AND BEYOND — Jersey City native and comedian Patrice O’Neal died Tuesday morning following an illness, according to press reports. His death occurred following complications from a stroke he suffered last month, which had been announced by fellow comedian Jim Norton on the Opie & Anthony Show on Oct. 26.
O’Neal has appeared on The Office, Arrested Development, and recently was featured on the Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen. –Stephen LaMarca
