Steven Sheftall of North Bergen was honored with The Marcos Spinelli Award from Saint Peter’s College for his essay for the 2010-2011 editions of The Writer’s Edge, a biannual compilation of noteworthy essays from introductory Composition courses at the College. The Marcos Spinelli Award was created in memory of Marcos Spinelli and is awarded to a student for achievement in writing.
