Dear Editor:
I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank all the members of the Knights of Columbus in Hoboken for honoring my autistic son, JJ, by donating their club for a special Halloween celebration.
The crowds, costumes, and overall excitement of Halloween make it a difficult holiday for my son to enjoy. I wanted to throw a party for him and his friends—many of whom also have special needs—so they too could enjoy Halloween in a safe, non-threatening environment.
I would especially like to say thank you to JJ’s Pop-Pop, Dom Castellitto, who is a long-time member of the KOC. Without his support, this party never would have been possible.
I would also like to thank Patty Albanese, Joanne Shasty, and Mina Bertos for providing all of the fun entertainment for the kids.
Delfino’s, Dino & Harry’s, and Fillipo’s donated delicious food, and the Hoboken Cupcake Hussey donated tasty cupcakes that all of the guests enjoyed.
Because of the generosity of all involved, our party was a great success! Thank you for putting a smile on all of our children’s faces!
Claudine Castellitto
