Funeral services were held Nov. 6 for James P. Powers, 77. He passed away at Andover Sub Acute Rehabilitation Center at Andover on Nov. 3. Mr. Powers was born in the Bronx, and was a resident of Hoboken and Secaucus before moving to Oak Ridge, N.J. James was a checker and a member of the International Longshoremen’s Association for 30 years, retiring in 1990. James was an avid New York Yankees fan and a golfer. James is survived by his wife Louise (nee Molinari); his children, Teresa Santorella and her husband Bruce of Andover, James E. Powers and his wife Lynda of Andover, and Edward Powers and his wife Daisy of Denville; and his 4 grandchildren, Allison, Colin, Nicole, and Rebecca.
