A funeral mass was held Nov. 5 at St. Anne RC Church, Jersey City, for William D. O’Connor. He died peacefully at home on Nov. 1. William was born in Paterson, and lived most of his life in Jersey City. He was a custodian for the Jersey City Board of Education for 33 years, retiring in 2002. He was an active member of the Jersey City Democratic Club for many years. He was the father of Laurie Encenosa and her husband Eddy, Michelle O’Connor and her life partner Karen Miller and son David Maurice O’Connor; companion of 26 years Tina M. Rocchetti; brother of Alva Matthews and Pamela; grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of four. Services arranged by the Houghton Funeral Home, Jersey City.
