Private funeral services have been held for Andrew J. Hover, 88. He passed away Oct. 31 at JFK Medical Center, Edison. Born in Hawley, Pa., he lived in Jersey City for most of his life and the last two years in Forked River. Mr. Hover served in an Army Air Corp., during World War II as a Staff Sgt. He was a crane operator for the Allied Chemical Company in Elizabeth. Mr. Hover was the husband of the late Laura (Deuro) Hover; father of Joan Cook and husband Kenneth of Ridgefield Park, Arlene Bondaruk of Fords, Mildred Jinkins of Forked River, John Hover and wife Shirley of Kunkletown, Pa., Carol O’connor of Jersey City and the late Diane Tuccillo; brother of Bill Morris of Kimbal, Nebraska; grandfather of 14; and great-grandfather of 20.
