Funeral mass took place Nov. 4 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church for Steven Furka, 89, a lifelong resident of Jersey City. He died at his home on Nov. 1. He was employed by the U.S. Coast Guard Supply Center in Brooklyn. He was a World War II Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Lucy (Costantino) Furka. He was the father of Joseph Furka and his wife Linda, Karen Piccillo, Nancy Furka and the late Michael Furka and Steven Furka; and grandfather of Joseph Piccillo and Danielle Furka.
