A funeral mass was offered Oct. 29 at Holy Rosary Church, Jersey City, for Rose M. (Melone) Fortunato, 88. She died Oct. 26 at Cusack Care Center, Jersey City. A lifelong Jersey City resident, she was the daughter of the late Catherine and Carmelo Melone. She worked as a library assistant at Jersey City Board of Education for 10 years before retiring. She was the wife of Anthony “Sonny” Fortunato, of Just Sonny’s Restaurant, Jersey City; mother of Anthony and his wife Angela and David and his wife Kim; grandmother of Andrew, Nicole, Michael, Tori and Jada. Rose was the last survivor of eight siblings. Services arranged by the Introcaso Angelo Funeral Home, Jersey City.
