‘Thank you for making CROP Hunger Walk successful’

To the Editor:
I would like to thank the many people who helped make the CROP Hunger Walk such a successful event. While there are too many to name individually, I would like to thank our sponsors, our committee members, our volunteers, the C.W.S. staff support, the City of Bayonne officials, the Bayonne Police Department, everyone who marched with us, our friends, and our families.
Together we were able to bring in more than 100 walkers and enjoy a beautiful day with friends and family, while managing in the process to raise over $10,000 for the 2011 Bayonne CROP Hunger Walk. 25 percent was distributed to Bayonne food pantries and the BEOF. The remaning funds will support interfaith, non-governmental partners in 80 countries and other designated international agencies and their relief and development programs.
I am awestruck at this generosity.
