WISNIEWSKI, MARY

Funeral mass was held Oct. 24 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Jersey City, for Mary Wisniewski. She passed away Oct. 20. Born in Jersey City, she was a graduate of Lincoln High School and studied business administration. She was employed as an administrative assistant for Colgate-Palmolive, Duratest, and several health care providers including Dr. Alan Schor, Dr. E. Retuta, and the late Dr. Lerna Retuta. She volunteered as a financial secretary for St. Anthony’s High School and as a librarian for the Kennedy School in North Bergen where she taught children how to read. She also served for many years on Mayor Sacco’s Council on Aging. She was the wife of the late John Wisniewski. She is survived by her son Dr. John F. Wisniewski and his wife Annette; her daughter Dianne and her husband Timothy O’Sullivan; grandchildren, Karie Marie O’Sullivan and Kristi Michelle Wisniewski; a sister Anne Wilbergh; brother-in-law Ray and his wife Judith Wilbergh; and also survived by many nieces, nephews, and close friends she considered as family. Services arranged by the Michalski Funeral Home, Jersey City.
