A funeral took place Oct. 22 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Jersey City, for Mannie Brown. He passed away Oct. 17 at Christ Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Frogmore, S.C., he resided in Jersey City more than 48 years. Mr. Brown was employed by Grossman/Bunzl in North Brunswick for 38 years. He loved to spend quality time with his family. Mr. Brown is survived his wife Hattie of 45 years; daughter Madeline (Rodney) Huggins-Fields; and two sons, Robert and Steven Brown. He is also survived by four siblings, Adam Brown (Edna), Arthur, Theresa (Larry) and Clara; and his grandchildren, Latesha and Ebony Huggins, Larry Johnson, Gbale Allen, Sharon Wallace, Yueth Williams.
