HOBOKEN – With upgrades on the way, the Hoboken Public Library scheduled a “town hall” meeting for Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. Lead architect Dennis Kowal planned to present a design for the upcoming lower level renovation at the library.
“This renovation will enable the library to further stabilize our 114-year-old building, and provide us with a much needed dedicated programming room, along with more space for meetings, art exhibits and Friends of the Library book sales,” according to a press release from the library.
Library representatives will be on hand to answer questions after the presentation. The library was able to secure partial funding for the project through a New Jersey Historical Trust grant, with a matching funds commitment by the city administration and a Board of Trustees reserve fund, according to a release.
The library building is located on Fifth Street facing Church Square Park. The meeting takes place in the second floor reading room. To RSVP, call (201) 420-2347. – Ray Smith
