GUTTENBERG, NORTH BERGEN, AND BEYOND – The proposed Appleview development was approved by the Hudson County Planning Board tonight on a 6-1 vote as residents shouted, “shame!”
The proposed 59-unit residential complex at 7009 7101 River Road will rise near the Galaxy Towers and be 20 feet from a large pipeline, which transports around 40 percent of Manhattan’s natural gas. The proposed development also requires the disturbance of a section of the Palisades.
