JC police chase ends in crash at dental office; one injury

JERSEY CITY — A police chase that started in Journal Square in Jersey City led to a car crashing into a dentist’s office at Kennedy Blvd and Communipaw Avenue around 11 a.m. today. One police officer was taken to the hospital for minor injures.
After noon, firemen were still removing glass and loose items from the surface of the dental office hit by the car.
Three police cars were involved in the case. According to an eye witness, a young lady was the driver of the vehicle.
According to Police Chief Thomas J. Comey, the vehicle left the road and struck the building and tried to re-enter the street. The building damage is cosmetic but the city’s Building Department will inspect it to make sure. – Santo Sanabria
