A funeral mass was held Oct. 17 at Our Lady of Libera Church, West New York, for Ida Blaettler, 87. She passed away Oct. 12 in Raleigh, N.C. Born in West New York, she lived most of her life in Union City. She was a retired handbag sewing operator for Aetna Leather Co. in Union City. She was the wife of the late Francis Blaettler, and mother of Gary Blaettler, Joseph Blaettler and his wife Patricia, Joanne Calzaretta and her husband Joseph and the late Doreen Blaettler. She was predeceased by her siblings, Rose Mastrianni, Bart Mastriani and Ernie Mastrianni. She was the grandmother of Charles, Sam, Nina, Joseph and his wife Rachel, and Christopher and great grandmother to Joseph and Emily. Services arranged by the Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.
