Union City man in coma after alleged Weehawken hit-and-run

UNION CITY AND WEEHAWKEN– A Union City resident was left in a coma after an alleged hit-and-run crash on Sept. 26 on the Weehawken-Union City border, according to NJ.com.
A 25-year-old Fairview resident allegedly ran a red light at the intersection of Highpoint and Palisade Avenue, Weehawken Deputy Police Chief Jeffrey Fulcher told the newspaper, but there were no drugs or alcohol involved. The resident’s vehicle hit a minivan.
A 39-year-old passenger in the minivan remains in a coma in Palisades Medical Center.
