HOBOKEN — Several commuters and one dog were nervous on Tuesday morning as an opossum stationed itself in a garbage can at Eleventh and Washington streets declined to leave.
Two police officers, with the help of crossing guard Margaret O’Brien, helped warn people of the visitor while they waited for animal control to arrive from Jersey City.
