A mass of Christian burial was offered Sept. 3 at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church for Floridea “Flora” Di Salvo, 100. She passed away Sept. 1 at Castle Hill Care Center. Born in Duronia, Campobasso, Italy, Flora came to the U.S. in 1963 and settled in Jersey City. A dressmaker and seamstress by trade, she later worked for the custodial staff at St. Francis Hospital before retiring. Predeceased by her husband Domenico, she is survived by her son Sabatino (Dino) and his wife Anna; grandchildren, Flora Heun (Robert), Domenick (Ana) and Vincenzo (Amy); and great grandchildren, Gina, Domenick, Madeline and Olivia Di Salvo as well as Florianna and Rose Heun.
