A funeral service was held Sept. 2 for Hector Luis Aponte, 64. He passed away Aug. 30 at Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark. Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to the late Martin Aponte and Maria Vega, he has lived in Jersey City since he was 18 years old. He was a retired window and door manufacturer and installer for a Newark-based company for 26 years, retiring in 1990. He was the husband of Regalada (Morales); father of Jose and Hector Aponte; step-father of Lizzette, Nancy, and Elizabeth Morales; and brother of Fiorina Maria, Adelida, Luz, Lucy, Rosalina and Manuel Aponte, all residing in Puerto Rico. He was also the grandfather of 10 and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Introcaso-Angelo Funeral Home, Jersey City.
