NORTH BERGEN AND BEYOND – The press conference that was to announce the findings from a 19-month investigation behind Arturo Gatti’s death has been postponed to Sept 7 at 11 a.m. due to Hurricane Irene.
The conference will be held at Global Boxing Gym at 5601-5711 Tonnelle Ave. in North Bergen.
Three-time world champion Gatti was found dead at age 37 within his Brazil apartment on July 11,2009. Authorities at first incarcerated his widow on suspicion of murder, but she was released when Brazilian authorities ruled his death a suicide.
The pair have both lived in Hudson County before.
The investigation was initiated by Pat Lynch, Gatti’s manager.
