Updated: Hoboken Ben & Jerry’s has special message for Hurricane Irene; trees fall in Hoboken and Union City

HUDSON COUNTY — Here are more photos from around the county. On Sunday night, Hoboken residents were out on stoops and outside Washington Street’s restaurants discussing the storm, and lots of apartment windows were open to let in the cool, windy air. TV’s could be seen flashing in the windows with power.

Meanwhile, a huge tree fell across Park Avenue near Seventh Street, its roots pulling up pavers.
In Union City, a tree fell Sunday evening in front of McDonald’s at Kennedy Boulevard and 31st in Union City.
