A memorial mass was offered Aug. 12 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Point Pleasant Beach for Austin Charles Blaise De Stefano, 38, of New York City, formerly of Point Pleasant. He passed away Aug. 6, at Goldwater Hospital on Roosevelt Island in New York City. Austin was born in Jersey City and lived for many years in Bayonne and Point Pleasant before moving to New York about 10 years ago. He was a real estate agent in New York City for several years and a jewelry designer/fabricator for Jadevolution. Austin had been a member of St. Peter’s R.C. Church in Point Pleasant Beach. He was a 1990 graduate of Point Pleasant Borough High School. He was a huge Yankees fan who never missed opening day and was a surfer when down the shore. He is survived by his parents, Dennis and Chris De Stefano of Point Pleasant; two brothers, Blaise and Evan both at home; one sister, Nicole and her boyfriend Rainier Aquino of Brielle; his step-grandmother, Sharon Fordi Dawidowicz; aunts and uncles Arlene Gentile, Judy DeStefano, Alicia and Mike Miselis, Joe and Sue Dawidowicz, his godfather Zen and Maria Dawidowicz; numerous cousins, and a multitude of good friends.
