Funeral services were held Aug. 10 for Joseph A. Mantineo, 74, a lifelong resident of West New York. He passed away Aug. 5. He was a school administrator with the Hudson County Schools of Technology where he also served as the president of the teachers union. A former commissioner of the West New York Housing Authority, he also served in the U.S. Army. He was the husband of Barbara Mantineo; father of Joseph Mantineo, Maureen Mantineo and Tara Mantineo; grandfather of Megan, Lilli, Madison,Ryan and Rylie; father-in-law of Trish Wilkerson, Marshall Wofsy and Daniel Miqueli. He is also survived by sisters and brothers in law, Joan and John Stalknecht and Pat and Gerry Drasherff and nieces and nephews. Services arranged by the Vainieri Funeral Home, North Bergen.
