GUTTENBERG AND BEYOND – A worker fell while doing construction at an apartment complex on 70th Street in Guttenberg on Tuesday afternoon. Police believe the worker fell roughly 30 feet, and is currently in the operating room and is “not doing well,” according to Captain Joel Magenheimer.
The building, which appeared to be in need of repairs, was condemned and residents were taken to Police Headquarters.
Police claimed that someone was repairing the building without necessary permits. “He was doing the right thing but he was doing it the wrong way,” said Magenheimer. –Stephen LaMarca
