A funeral mass was celebrated July 29 at St. Mary’s R.C. Church, West New York, for Frank Manfredi, 83. He died peacefully on July 26 at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Boonton Township. Born and raised in Union City, he was a longtime resident of West New York before moving to Stanhope seven years ago. Mr. Manfredi served in the United States Army during peacetime. He was employed as a sheet metal worker with BP Kitchen, later Braun Co. in Saddle Brook for many years before retiring. Mr. Manfredi was a member of St. Mary’s Church in West New York and its Holy Name Society. He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine A. (nee Lezak) in 2005. He is survived by his four children, Debra DeFazio of North Bergen, Donna Daveniero of Mahwah, Frank Manfredi of Stanhope and Vincent Manfredi of Arizona; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
