Funeral services took place July 23 for Carl P. Shurley, 80, of Medford. He passed away peacefully on July 20. Born in Philadelphia, he grew up in Syracuse, N.Y. before moving to Jersey City in 1965 and then Medford in 2008. He was the husband of 54 years to the late Edythe E. Shurley and is the father of Carol Erwin and her husband Daniel of Bayonne, Joanne O’Donnell of Medford, William Shurley of Medford, Patricia Shurley and Raymond Shurley of Jersey City, Mary L. Browne and her husband Joseph of Shamong, N.J. and Carl P. Shurley Jr. of Reading, Pa. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandson. Services arranged by the Bradley and Stow Funeral Home, Medford.
