HUDSON COUNTY — Thousands lined the Hudson County waterfront Monday night for the Macy’s July 4 fireworks display over the Hudson River. The fireworks exploded in hues of red, blue, purple, green, and even orange in a 25 minute display.
The 35th Annual Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks celebrated Independence Day and the 125th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty. They were set off from six barges positioned on the Hudson River, stretching from 20th to 55th streets in Manhattan.
Some in New York City would like the show returned to the East River, so Brooklynites can see them again.
Well…nuts to that!
