Registration is now open for the 7th Annual Party With Purpose Hoboken 5K and the Kids’ Fun Run. Early registration is only $25. Registration entitles you to a goody bag and t-shirt (while supplies last) and admission to the after party. This year, be one of the first 1,200 to pre-register, and you will receive a special running shirt, sized for both men and women.
Over 1,500 runners participated in last year’s Party With Purpose 5K. After the success last year, the PWP 5K is once again accepting teams. Looking for a great way to get together with friends and run for a good cause? Create a team for work, your shore house, friends, relatives, neighbors. The race organizers have all the online tools available for you to invite and manage your team members. Become a team captain by registering online or by email at info@partywithpurpose.org for more information. Team prizes will be given for most runners, best times, most funds, and much more.

On Tuesday, July 12, PWP takes it to the streets for the 7th Annual 5K along the Hoboken waterfront. The event ranks as one of the best races in/around New York City. The organizers expect this year to be even bigger and more exciting.
The purpose of the race is to bring the entire community together, including beginner and seasoned runners, families, and kids for an evening of fun, fitness, and fundraising for the Hoboken Boys & Girls Club and Jubilee Center.
Kids’ Fun Run registration starts at 3 p.m.
At 5:30 p.m. onsite registration opens and the organizers strongly recommend you pre-register and show up early to obtain your number. Early number/goody bag pick-up will be available at Fleet Feet, 604 Washington St. in Hoboken on Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10 from 12-5 p.m. and, new this year, Monday, July 11 from 5-9 p.m.
The 5K race starts at 7 p.m.
An awards ceremony and a special after party will follow at 8 p.m. with entertainment provided by NEW TRICKS, NJ’s Premier Rock -N- Party Band.
Green Rock’s Charity of the Month
Each month, The Green Rock Tap & Grill, 70 Hudson St., features a beer of the month. The customer will be able to enjoy this beer for the entire month for $1 less than its regular price. Samuel Adams will be the beer of the month for June.
The Green Rock and the beer manufacturer raise money for a specific charity each month. And for June, Party With Purpose is Green Rock’s Charity of the Month.
The Green Rock will sell a charity-specific t-shirt during the course of each month, and t-shirt profits will be donated to that charity. The T-shirts are $20 and are another way to support PWP.
On Thursday, June 30, come out to The Green Rock for a special fundraising event, a festive happy hour to support Party With Purpose. Purchase a $10 PWP pint glass, and you receive $2 pints of Samuel Adams as well as all domestic beers during Happy Hour, with the price just $3 after. Make an evening of it, with The Sweetheart Auction and Raffle with prizes from local Hoboken businesses.
