A mass of Christian burial was offered June 25 at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church for Amelia M. Goggin, 80. She passed away suddenly on June 21 at the Jersey City Medical Center. Born in Jersey City, she was a lifelong resident. An assembly worker at Western Electric in Kearny for 20 years, Amelia retired in 1989. She was a member of AARP and a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church. Amelia is survived by her daughter Cheryl Martinez and her husband Leonardo; her son Steve Cooper; two brothers, George and John Montes. She was the grandmother of Evan L., Alec J. and Nicole.
